According to Chairman Dr Raghib Hussain Naeemi, the rate based on wheat flour has been fixed at Rs200, while the amount based on barley stands at Rs1,100. Fitrana and Fidyah based on dates, have been set at Rs1,600.

For raisins, the amount is Rs3,800, while those opting to pay according to dried grapes (munqa) must pay Rs5,400.

The council also announced Fidyah for missed fasts over 30 days. Based on wheat, the amount has been set at Rs9,000, while barley-based Fidyah is Rs33,000. The amount based on dates is Rs48,000, and on raisins, Rs114,000.

According to the notification, the 30-day Fidyah based on munqa is Rs162,000, while the amount based on wheat flour has been fixed at Rs6,000.

Dr Naeemi clarified that Fitrana is obligatory on every financially capable Muslim, including men, women, and children.

He added that in the case of deliberately breaking a fast, Kaffarah requires observing continuous fasts for 60 days or feeding 60 needy persons two meals each.
