In a statement, Maryam Nawaz expressed her happiness at extending the celebrations and called it a reward for the people of Lahore, who celebrated Basant with great discipline and enthusiasm.

The chief minister also praised the people of Lahore for adhering to all safety protocols, saying, “The citizens of Lahore have responsibly followed all safety SOPs. I urge everyone to continue celebrating the festival in a safe manner — stay away from power lines, secure your rooftops, and follow all the guidelines.”
