According to rescue authorities, the victims were travelling on a motorcycle when the trailer struck them at high speed, crushing the riders and causing instant fatalities.

The deceased included two women, identified as Marvi and Sajida, a child, and an adult man.

Upon receiving information, police and rescue teams rushed to the scene and shifted the bodies to a nearby hospital for legal formalities.

Rescue officials said the accident occurred as heavy traffic had been diverted to link roads due to the closure of the national highway, forcing trailers to use smaller routes.

After the incident, the trailer driver fled the scene. Police took the vehicle into custody and launched a search operation to arrest the suspect.

An investigation into the incident is underway.
