Jamaat-e-Islami criticises Pakistani Government on Kashmir at Karachi rally

Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi Munim Zafar said on Thursday that people gathered in Karachi to express solidarity with the people of Kashmir.

Addressing a rally from Jail Chowrangi to Mazar-e-Quaid on Kashmir Day, he said 78 years have passed since the United Nations resolution on Kashmir was passed, but it has not been implemented.

“It is an injustice to oppressed nations to impose a solution of their own choice on them,” he said. “West Timor and South Sudan were given freedom, but the people of Kashmir have not been given freedom even after 78 years. The fault of the people of Kashmir is that they are talkative and love Pakistan.”

He also criticised Pakistani rulers for not making serious efforts on the Kashmir issue, saying the government is “suffering from American slavery.”

Referring to the Indo-Pakistan war in May, he said the Pakistani nation was united at the time, but current rulers are “busy completing the American agenda to please Trump” and are a “corrupt group that only supports each other.”
