Train services resume in Balochistan after five-day suspension

After a five-day suspension, train services within Balochistan and to other provinces have resumed, while mobile internet services remained suspended for the sixth consecutive day, railway officials confirmed on Thursday.

The Jaffar Express from Quetta to Peshawar departed after a one-hour delay, while the Quetta-Chaman passenger train left on schedule.

Both services had been suspended since January 31 due to security concerns following a series of terrorist attacks in the province.

Railway sources said the resumption of services will ease travel for passengers, though the ongoing suspension of mobile internet continues to cause difficulties for residents, journalists, and the business community in Quetta and other areas of Balochistan.
