      <title>Uzbek president to arrive today for two-day state visit</title>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will arrive in Pakistan on Thursday for a two-day state visit at the invitation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the Foreign Office said on Wednesday.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;In a statement, the Foreign Office said the Uzbek president would lead a high-level delegation comprising senior cabinet ministers and prominent business leaders for the February 5–6 visit.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;During his stay, President Mirziyoyev will meet President Asif Ali Zardari, hold delegation-level talks with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and address the Pakistan-Uzbekistan Business Forum.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;“Discussions will focus on reviewing the entire gamut of bilateral relations and identifying new avenues to further deepen cooperation in diverse sectors, including trade, energy, defence, education, people-to-people exchange and regional connectivity,” the statement said.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Pakistan and Uzbekistan have in recent years strengthened cooperation in trade, investment and economic development, with both sides seeking to expand mutually beneficial partnerships.&lt;/p&gt;
