      <title>Karachi SSP assures security and safety arrangements for Shab-e-Barat</title>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Shab-e-Barat is being observed across Pakistan on Tuesday night, with mosques illuminated and special arrangements made for citizens visiting graves at major cemeteries in Karachi.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Security measures have been tightened across the city. SSP South, Mahzor Ali, said additional police personnel have been deployed at cemeteries and for religious gatherings.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Karachi Police Chief Azad Khan has instructed all zonal deputy inspectors general and district senior superintendents of police to ensure foolproof security at mosques, shrines, cemeteries and dargahs.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;He also directed that mobile and motorcycle patrols be increased on main highways and streets.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;“We are in touch with the organisers of Shab-e-Barat gatherings,” Mahzor Ali said, adding that extensive security measures have been put in place.&lt;/p&gt;
