President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif received the Kazakh leader at Nur Khan Airbase, where a 21-gun salute was presented.

Children in traditional attire welcomed the visiting president with bouquets and national flags of both countries.

President Tokayev is accompanied by a high-level delegation comprising senior cabinet ministers and government officials. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and other federal ministers were also present at the reception.

During the visit, President Tokayev will meet President Zardari, hold delegation-level talks with PM Shehbaz, and address the Pakistan-Kazakhstan Business Forum.

According to the Foreign Office, the visit will allow both sides to review bilateral relations and explore new avenues of cooperation, particularly in trade, logistics, regional connectivity and people-to-people exchanges.

Several memoranda of understanding and cooperation agreements are expected to be signed.

The visit reflects the growing engagement between Pakistan and Kazakhstan and their shared interest in promoting peace, stability and economic partnership in the region.
