&lt;p&gt;The understanding was reached during a meeting between Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf and Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan Arab Armed Forces Lieutenant General Saddam Khalifa Haftar at Naval Headquarters in Islamabad, according to Inter-Services Public Relations.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Both sides discussed matters of mutual interest, the evolving regional maritime security environment, and ways to enhance cooperation in defence and military training.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Lieutenant General Haftar praised the Pakistan Navy’s role as a key pillar of regional peace and maritime security.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The two leaders also expressed resolve to broaden the scope of existing defence ties and deepen cooperation in the naval domain.&lt;/p&gt;
