Rain and snowfall are set to lash various parts of the country from today (Saturday) until February 3, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).

Rain is expected in Islamabad and the neighbouring Potohar region, while parts of Punjab, including Murree and the Galiyat, are also likely to see rainfall.

The Met Office cautioned that the risk of landslides may rise in the hilly areas of upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir during this period, advising citizens and travellers to take precautionary measures.
