&lt;p&gt;According to the statement, the two leaders highlighted the close and brotherly relations between Pakistan and Iran, which are linked to common history, culture and faith.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;They reiterated their commitment to maintain high-level contacts and consultations through bilateral institutional mechanisms to further strengthen cooperation within the framework of bilateral relations.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar also spoke with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;During the discussion, the deputy prime minister expressed concern over the evolving regional situation and underscored that dialogue and diplomacy remained the only viable way forward.&lt;/p&gt;
