&lt;p&gt;Speaking to Pakistan TV Digital during the 56th World Economic Forum annual meeting, Infantino said he had promised Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif that he would visit Pakistan soon.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;He praised the new president of the Pakistan Football Federation for doing “tremendous work.”&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Infantino called Pakistan a “great football country” and added, “We want Pakistan to be a top contender at the Asian level, and we are working towards it.”&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Last month, FIFA included Pakistani politician Syeda Amna Batool in its reform committee.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Previously, in November 2025, FIFA Senior Vice President Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al-Khalifa visited Pakistan for three days to discuss the development of football infrastructure.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Football is increasingly popular among Pakistani youth, with growing interest in school tournaments, local competitions, and community club events encouraging participation nationwide.&lt;/p&gt;
