Kahna triple murder solved as police arrest two suspects, including woman

Police have solved the murder of a father and his two sons in Lahore’s Kahna area, arresting two suspects, including a woman, officials said on Monday.

According to police, the killings were linked to a financial dispute between the prime suspect and the victims.

The main accused is a polio block in-charge working with the health department, while the female suspect is also a polio worker.

Investigators said the suspects lured the victims into drinking juice laced with intoxicants. After the three men lost consciousness, they were strangled to death.

Police further revealed that following the murders, the suspects transferred Rs3 million from the victims’ accounts to their own using a mobile banking application.

The victims were identified as 65-year-old Numan Akhtar and his sons, Kamran, 35, and Imran, 30.

Their bodies were recovered on January 17 from a house in the Central Park area of Kahna after local residents reported a foul smell.

Police said the bodies were in an advanced stage of decomposition, indicating the murders had taken place nearly 20 days earlier. Post-mortem examinations were conducted, and forensic teams collected evidence from the sealed house.

Authorities said further investigation is underway to determine whether more individuals were involved and to complete the legal process against the arrested suspects.
