      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) of Punjab has issued an alert as a western weather system is expected to enter the province from today, with heavy snowfall predicted in Murree, Galiyat, and other hilly areas, and widespread rain in most districts between January 20 and 23.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;According to PDMA, rain is forecast in Lahore, Sargodha, Gujranwala, Sahiwal, Multan, Faisalabad, Dera Ghazi Khan, and Bahawalpur divisions.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The DG of PDMA has directed commissioners, deputy commissioners, and other administrative officers to complete all arrangements in advance, following the instructions of the Punjab Chief Minister.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Emergency control rooms will remain staffed 24/7, and Rescue 1122 disaster response teams have been placed on high alert.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Citizens are advised to avoid unnecessary travel during severe weather, while tourists in Murree are urged to follow safety measures.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Facilitation centres have been set up at multiple locations in Murree to assist visitors.&lt;/p&gt;
