A newborn in the village of Khara, Kasur, was born with his heart outside his body, a rare and life-threatening condition.

Doctors confirmed that the baby’s heartbeat is stable.

The child was immediately transferred to Lahore Children’s Hospital for urgent treatment. However, after four days, the hospital sent the baby back home, citing unspecified reasons.

The baby’s father, Muhammad Din, who runs a small tea shop, said he cannot afford the expensive surgery required to save his son’s life.

He has appealed to Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz to intervene and ensure treatment for the child.

“I want my child to undergo the surgery so he can survive. I cannot pay for such an expensive operation myself,” Muhammad Din said.
