      <title>Pakistan supports peaceful resolution of Yemen conflict</title>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;The Foreign Office has reaffirmed its support for a peaceful resolution to the conflict in Yemen and welcomed ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at stabilising the region.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Speaking at the weekly briefing, Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Andrabi said Pakistan considered regional efforts to restore normalcy in Yemen important and expressed support for resolving the issue through dialogue among all parties.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The spokesperson also noted that, at the start of the new year, Pakistan and India carried out the regular exchange of prisoners’ lists.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;According to Tahir Andrabi, Pakistan handed over a list of 257 Indian prisoners held in the country to Indian authorities.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;He added that this exchange takes place twice a year, on January 1 and July 1, under the 2008 Agreement on Consular Access.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Similarly, the annual exchange of lists of nuclear installations between the two countries was conducted on January 1.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The spokesperson highlighted that  Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif recently held a telephone conversation with the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, in which both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation. Regional issues were also discussed during the call.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;In addition, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar contacted the Saudi Foreign Minister to discuss matters of mutual interest.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The Foreign Office also noted that the UAE president recently visited Pakistan on an official visit, during which discussions were held on expanding bilateral ties and cooperation across various sectors.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The spokesperson emphasised that Pakistan considered strengthening relations with fellow Islamic countries a key priority of its foreign policy.&lt;/p&gt;
