      <title>Banks to remain closed across the country on January 1</title>

&lt;p&gt;“The State Bank of Pakistan will remain closed for public dealings on Thursday, January 01, 2026, which will be observed as ‘Bank Holiday’,” said a SBP statement.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;All banks, development finance institutions (DFIs) and micro-finance banks (MFBs) shall also remain closed for public dealing on the aforementioned date, it said, adding that all employees of the banks, DFIs and MFBs will attend the office as usual.&lt;/p&gt;
