According to Delhi Airport authorities, poor runway visibility led to 60 arrivals being cancelled, 58 departures cancelled, and 16 flights diverted.

The Airport Authority of India (AAI) issued an advisory warning of possible delays at select airports across Northern India, urging passengers to stay updated via official airline channels.

Travellers were advised to plan, allowing extra time for check-ins and airport procedures.

“Visibility levels across Northern India have reduced at select airports, which may impact flight operations. Passengers should stay in close contact with airlines for the latest updates,” the AAI stated.

A video shared by ANI highlighted the significant drop in visibility at the airport. Assistance teams were deployed at affected airports to support passengers on the ground.

“AAI remains committed to passenger safety, convenience, and smooth operations during adverse weather conditions,” the authority added.

Airlines also issued advisories. IndiGo noted that fluctuating visibility at Delhi and Hindon airports had caused changes to flight schedules.

The airline assured passengers that safety remains a priority, and operations will gradually normalise once conditions improve.

Passengers affected by cancellations or delays can rebook flights or claim refunds, with airport teams available to provide support.
