      <title>MQM leader Dr Imran Farooq’s widow laid to rest in Karachi</title>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Shumaila Imran, widow of senior Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Dr Imran Farooq, was laid to rest in a local cemetery in Karachi on Saturday after funeral prayers were offered at Rehmania Mosque on Tariq Road.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Shumaila Imran had passed away in London last week after a prolonged illness. Her mortal remains were brought to Karachi a day earlier.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Senior Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) leaders, including Dr Farooq Sattar and Mustafa Kamal, attended the funeral prayers along with party workers, relatives and family members of the deceased.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Speaking to the media, Dr Farooq Sattar paid tribute to Shumaila Imran’s sacrifices, saying she raised her children in difficult circumstances following the assassination of Dr Imran Farooq.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;He described her as a patient and resilient woman, a talented writer, and an active worker of the MQM women’s wing. He also prayed for patience and strength for the bereaved family.&lt;/p&gt;
