Tessori says no talks with those blocking Pakistan’s progress

Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori has said that negotiations should not be held with people who are an obstacle to Pakistan’s development.

Speaking to the media after visiting the Mazar-e-Quaid in Karachi on Thursday, Tessori remarked that some elements in the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) do not believe in dialogue, adding that the person sitting in Adiala is arrogant.

Tessori’s remarks came after the government expressed its willingness to hold dialogue with the opposition to break the deadlock and end the political uncertainty.

The governor expressed confidence in Pakistan’s economic resilience, saying, “Just as we won a war against India, we will also win the economic battle. We are prepared for the economic challenge.”

He added that Pakistan has become a key country in the region and that Islamabad has emerged as a centre of power.

Pakistan, he noted, is playing the role of protector of holy places in Saudi Arabia.

Commenting on national security, Tessori said that the decisive policies of Field Marshal Asim Munir have secured Pakistan a significant position globally, and the country’s confidence has been restored through excellent military strategy.

On economic matters, the governor highlighted the privatisation of the national airline, saying it could prove to be a “game changer” and noting that, after two decades, the privatisation process is appearing to be transparent.

Earlier, Governor Tessori, along with Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, paid tribute at the Mazar-e-Quaid and offered Fateha.

Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, Nasser Hussain Shah, and other cabinet members were also present during the visit.
