The petition was filed by Wasim Zawar, who argued that the actor donned an SP’s uniform and recorded a video, an act he said violated the law and damaged the image of the Punjab Police.

According to the petitioner, wearing a police uniform without authorisation is illegal, and the video lowered the force’s morale and public standing.

He told the court that he had approached the police for action but received no response.

The petitioner requested the court to direct the police to register a case against the actor.

The court sought a report from the Old Anarkali police station and adjourned the matter for further proceedings.
