      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECC) on Thursday reviewed inflation trends and approved multi-sector development funding.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The Finance Ministry briefed the committee that inflation stood at 4.1% in July and 3% in August, averaging 5% from July to November. However, inflation rose to 6.1% in November.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The ECC, chaired by Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, approved a Rs200 billion equity injection for DISCOs in the energy sector and Rs635 million for SDG-related energy projects.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Development funds worth Rs576 million were allocated for Danish Schools and youth skill development initiatives, while Rs519 million was earmarked for development projects in Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Other approvals included Rs170.4 million for the Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation and Rs250 million for King Hamad Nursing University.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The committee also sanctioned amendments to the Prime Minister’s Fan Replacement Programme rules and approved construction of additional residential suites for parliamentarians.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The ECC approved Rs4.775 billion for payments to 945 families of missing persons, as identified by the Commission of Inquiry on Enforced Disappearances. Funds were also cleared for the repair of Frontier Corps and Rangers helicopters.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Officials said the approved measures aim to stabilise prices, enhance public services, and support ongoing development initiatives across the country.&lt;/p&gt;
