Four senior officials of the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA), including a deputy director, have resigned from their posts amid an ongoing corruption scandal and allegations of custodial torture, officials confirmed on Wednesday.

According to an official notification dated December 12, the resignations were approved by the Secretary of the Ministry of Interior and have been made effective from November 20.

Those who resigned include Deputy Director Sarfraz Chaudhry, Assistant Directors Mohammad Usman and Shoaib Riaz, and Asma Majeed.

The resignations come days after prominent YouTuber Saadur Rehman, known as Ducky Bhai, publicly accused Sarfraz Chaudhry of subjecting him to torture and humiliation while in custody.

Ducky Bhai was arrested in August on allegations of money laundering linked to a gambling application and remained in NCCIA custody for nearly three months.

He was granted bail and released on November 26.
