According to Adil Tasawar, head of the Polio Eradication Program, over 1 crore children have been vaccinated across Punjab during the first two days.

In Lahore, more than 594,000 children have received polio drops, while in Rawalpindi, over 448,000 and in Multan, over 478,000 children have been vaccinated.

Adil Tasawar said the campaign is progressing successfully, with parents cooperating actively and environmental samples showing improvement.

In October, 12 environmental samples tested positive for polio, whereas in November, only 4 samples were positive.

The program aims to achieve zero polio in Punjab by 2026.
