During the meeting, the second phase of renovation of the National Stadium in Karachi was formally approved.

The meeting also approved the upgrade of the LCCA Ground on the pattern of England’s Oval Ground.

The meeting also acknowledged successful PSL roadshows in London and New York, with PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi and his team being commended for their professionalism and hard work.

The board also recognised Naqvi’s personal efforts in ensuring the continuation of the recent Sri Lankan team tour, passing a resolution of appreciation in his favour.

Speaking at the meeting, Naqvi emphasised that credit for the Sri Lankan tour’s continuation belongs to the entire team, not a single individual.

He described the success of the PSL roadshows as a result of joint teamwork between PCB and PSL officials, aimed at building the PSL into a strong international brand.

Naqvi also announced plans to stage PSL 11 matches in Muzaffarabad, Azad Kashmir, and expressed the desire to hold international matches in Muzaffarabad in future.

He revealed that a state-of-the-art cricket stadium will be constructed in Islamabad.

The meeting was given detailed briefings on the regional-level scrutiny of clubs by a leading private firm, strengthening of the domestic cricket structure, increasing the number of lower-level tournaments and matches and the future ICC Women’s and Men’s cricket tournaments.

The session was also attended by senior officials from PCB and PSL, and marked a significant step toward enhancing Pakistan’s domestic cricket framework while expanding its international presence.
