Authorities confirmed that the head of the household, Iqbal, and his son Yaseen, have confessed to the murders.

Police officials stated that the motive behind the killings was financial stress.

The police have registered a formal case, with the father and son named as accused.

Sources said that the family was carrying debts of over Rs1.65 crore, adding that complaints had been filed regarding a Rs75 lakh loan.

Investigators revealed that a letter recovered from Iqbal’s possession played a key role in solving the case.

The letter, written in the form of a will, gave directions for burial arrangements. It also provided details about outstanding debts and instructions regarding financial matters.

According to police, the father and son allegedly poisoned the women by adding toxic substances to their juice.

While Yaseen also attempted to ingest the poison, Iqbal reportedly did not consume it.

The victims were identified as 52-year-old mother Samina, 22-year-old daughter-in-law Maha, and 19-year-old daughter Samreen.

Authorities said that Yaseen first poisoned his wife, Maha and confined her body to a room.

Investigations are ongoing to uncover further details and to gather complete information from the suspects regarding the killings.
