A decision to this effect was taken during a meeting of the TTAP, which resolved to invite the PPP to the two-day national conference, which will be held in Islamabad on December 21-22.

The TTAP meeting, chaired by TTAP President Mahmood Khan Achakzai, was attended by prominent leaders, including Allama Raja Nasir Abbas, Asad Qaiser, Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar, and others.

According to an announcement, opposition parties, bar councils, and human rights organisations will also be invited to the conference.

While the PPP will be extended an invitation, the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) will not be invited to the conference.

An official statement issued after the meeting said the conference aims to explore avenues for political dialogue.

A committee comprising Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar, Hussain Ahmed Yousafzai, and Khalid Yousaf Chaudhry has been formed to organise the event.

The statement said that the government will need to facilitate a meeting between Mahmood Khan Achakzai and other political leaders with jailed PTI founder and former prime minister Imran Khan.

The meeting also called for an immediate restoration of border trade between Pakistan and Afghanistan and urged both countries to resolve disputes through diplomatic channels.
