According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Admiral Ashraf underlined the strategic importance of the maritime domain and highlighted the Pakistan Navy’s “impregnable deterrence” demonstrated during Marka-e-Haq.

He also stressed the Navy’s active role in maintaining regional stability through participation in the Combined Maritime Forces and Regional Maritime Security Patrols.

During the visit, the delegation received detailed briefings on modern maritime threats, Pakistan Navy’s initiatives for maritime domain awareness, and efforts to support coastal community development.

The delegation included parliamentarians, politicians, bureaucrats, senior military officers, media professionals, entrepreneurs, business leaders and academics.

Participants acknowledged MARSEW’s growing significance in maritime awareness and its contribution to shaping Pakistan’s maritime policy.

They also praised the Navy’s continued commitment to securing Pakistan’s maritime interests and safeguarding key sea lines.

The eleven-day workshop aims to deepen understanding of maritime security and the geostrategic importance of the Indian Ocean, offering a platform for dialogue on national maritime challenges and emerging opportunities.
