&lt;p&gt;Earlier, Pakistan won the toss and elected to field at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Both Sri Lankan openers, Pathum Nissanka and Kamil Mishara, were dismissed early, scoring 24 and 29 respectively.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Sadeera Samarawickrama added 48 runs, while stand-in captain Kusal Mendis contributed 34 before getting out.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;For Pakistan, Mohammad Wasim took three wickets, and Faisal Akram claimed two.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The hosts made four changes to their playing XI, including Faisal Akram, Shaheen Afridi, Faheem Ashraf, and Haseebullah, who was included as wicketkeeper.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Sri Lanka also made four changes, with regular captain Charith Asalanka unavailable due to illness. Kusal Mendis led the side in his absence.&lt;/p&gt;
