The remaining five PSL franchises have been offered new contracts with a 25 per cent increase in value, and a 10-day window has been given to finalise the agreements.

Sources said that Multan Sultans owner Ali Tareen had publicly criticised PSL management and even tore up a legal notice sent by the PCB.

The franchise had also submitted a detailed proposal letter to PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, but the board has yet to issue an official statement regarding the matter.

Meanwhile, the PCB has announced a tender for the sale of the PSL’s seventh and eighth teams.

Interested buyers can submit proposals by December 15, after which the new franchises will be auctioned.

Potential cities for the two teams include Hyderabad, Sialkot, Muzaffarabad, Faisalabad, Gilgit, and Rawalpindi, allowing franchise owners to select a city and expand PSL’s footprint across Pakistan.
