He said only those dumpers and water tankers whose trackers are fully accessible to the traffic police will be allowed to operate on city roads.

Heavy vehicles that do not provide tracker access have been banned with immediate effect.

The decision follows the Razzaqabad incident, in which a dumper without a tracker rammed into a rickshaw, killing its driver and injuring several people. A van and a nearby shop were also damaged in the crash.

According to the DIG, many dumpers and tankers are equipped with trackers, but their owners have not shared control credentials with the police.

“Only vehicles with active tracker access provided to the traffic police will be exempt, and even these will be allowed to operate only during designated hours,” he said.

DIG Shah warned that dumpers and tankers whose owners fail to hand over tracker control to the traffic police will be seized during roadside checks.
