Enemies cannot break our resolve, says Wana cadet after attack

The morale of teachers and cadets at Cadet College Wana remained high, with a firm resolve to stand against terrorism following an attack by Afghan Khwarij on November 10.

According to security sources, Field Marshal Asim Munir closely monitored the operation, emphasising that the cadets are the nation’s valuable assets and must be protected at all costs.

The Pakistan Army personnel acted as a shield between the cadets and Khwarij for over 24 hours, making sacrifices to save the children.

The operation commander, Colonel Muhammad Tahir, has shared details of the operation that foiled the terrorist attack on the cadet college.

According to Colonel Tahir, a suicide bomber detonated himself at the gate, while other militants attempted to enter the college premises.

“The terrorists initially tried to take students hostage, but our timely response prevented their plan,” he said.

T20I Tri-Nation Tournament

He added that the security forces swiftly contained the terrorists within a specific block of the college.

“A full-scale operation was launched between 10pm and 10:30pm, during which all the terrorists were eliminated,” the commander said.

A cadet studying at the college said they were preparing for a drill competition at the time of the blast.

“We were all on the ground when the explosion occurred,” the student recounted.

“Our teachers told us to stay calm, assuring us that the Pakistan Army had arrived.”

The cadet added that the students were safely evacuated from the college to a secure location by army personnel.

“We knew the attack was carried out by enemies of education. No matter what they do, they cannot stop us from learning,” he said.
