The agreement was signed in Jeddah by Saudi Deputy Minister for Hajj and Umrah, Dr Abdul Fattah bin Suleiman Al Mishat, and Federal Secretary for Religious Affairs, Dr Syed Ata-ur-Rahman.

The signing ceremony was attended by Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf bin Said Al Maliki, Director General Hajj Jeddah Abdul Wahab Soomro, Director Hajj Makkah Azizullah Khan, Director Hajj Madinah Zia-ur-Rahman, Deputy Secretary Hajj Policy Chaudhry Kashif Hussain, and representatives of the Private Hajj Companies’ Association.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Syed Ata-ur-Rahman thanked the Saudi government for its hospitality and efforts in ensuring top-quality services for Pakistani pilgrims.

He said, “As in previous years, Pakistani Hujjaj will be provided with high-standard facilities in 2026. The Ministry of Religious Affairs is committed to completing arrangements for both government and private Hajj schemes in a timely and effective manner, following the directives of the Saudi government.”

This year, the Saudi government allocated a total quota of 179,210 pilgrims for Pakistan — 119,210 under the government scheme and 60,000 for private operators, according to official sources.
