The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has approved a reduction of Rs0.48 per unit in electricity prices for all consumers across Pakistan, including K-Electric customers.

The price cut has been applied under the monthly fuel adjustment mechanism and will be reflected in bills issued this month.

NEPRA said the reduction will provide consumers with relief worth more than Rs5 billion.

This move is part of NEPRA’s regular review of electricity tariffs to account for changes in fuel costs and is aimed at easing the financial burden on households and businesses.
