Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has said that Pakistan’s foreign policy has entered a new and progressive phase, with the country’s relations improving with key global partners, including the United States, China, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.

Speaking at a seminar in Islamabad on Monday, the minister said that Pakistan’s ties with the United States have strengthened and commended the efforts of the country’s diplomats in advancing national interests abroad.

“Foreign policy remains our top priority. We are focused on improving Pakistan’s relations with the world,” Asif said.

He noted that Pakistan is emerging as a reliable partner on the international stage, adding that relations with Saudi Arabia have entered a new era marked by increased investment across multiple sectors.

He reiterated that China remains Pakistan’s “all-weather friend” and that both countries are committed to accelerating work on the third phase of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
