      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;The Khyber Medical University (KMU) has announced the results of the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT), with more than 53 per cent of candidates qualifying for MBBS admissions.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;According to KMU, a total of 39,986 candidates registered for the test, while 38,447 appeared in the examination, marking an attendance rate of 96 per cent.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;As per the results, 53.26 per cent of candidates were declared eligible for admission to MBBS, while 58.43 per cent qualified for BDS programmes.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The university said the admission process for public and private medical and dental colleges will begin soon.&lt;/p&gt;
