According to officials, unidentified assailants planted a remote-controlled explosive device on a motorcycle parked along the road in Kech.

The explosion occurred as Deputy Commissioner Bashir Barech’s convoy was passing by on its way to his office.

The blast destroyed a secondary vehicle in the convoy, injuring seven Levies personnel and a passerby.

The wounded were shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital in Kech for medical treatment.

Following the attack, security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to trace the perpetrators.
