According to a statement issued by the President’s House, Field Marshal Munir updated the president on the overall internal and external security situation of the country during the meeting.

He also detailed the recent developments arising from the Afghan Taliban’s provocative actions along the border and Pakistan’s robust military response.

The statement added that President Zardari expressed full confidence in the strength, bravery, readiness, and capability of the Pakistan Armed Forces.

He praised the forces’ vigilance and professional expertise, particularly their timely and effective repulsion of cross-border attacks along the Afghan frontier.

The president reaffirmed Pakistan’s resolve to defend its national sovereignty and territorial integrity at all costs.
