Opting to bowl first after winning the toss, Pakistan dominated the early exchanges as spinner Nashra Sandhu tore through Australia’s top order with a brilliant three-wicket spell.

However, Mooney (109) and King (51 not out) rebuilt the innings with a resilient 109-run partnership for the eighth wicket, guiding their team to a competitive 221 for 9 in 50 overs.

For Pakistan, Sandhu claimed three wickets, while Rameen Shamim and Fatima Sana took two each.

Chasing 222, Pakistan’s batting faltered once again, collapsing to 114 all out in 36.3 overs.

Sidra Ameen top-scored with 35, but received little support as wickets fell at regular intervals.

Australia’s Kim Garth took three wickets, while Megan Schutt bagged two, and Alana King, Annabel Sutherland, Ashleigh Gardner, and Georgia Wareham picked one apiece.

This defeat marks Pakistan’s third consecutive loss in the tournament.

They will next face England on October 15.
