According to eyewitnesses, people rushed out of their homes and buildings as the ground shook, while many were shocked and scared.

The Seismological Centre reported that the earthquake struck at 6:29pm with a magnitude of 5.0 on the Richter scale. The epicentre was located about 65 kilometres west of Quetta, at a depth of 25 kilometres.

Officials from the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) said there were no immediate reports of casualties or property damage. However, district administrations and relevant agencies are closely monitoring the situation.
