The decision was taken during a high-level meeting chaired by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, where she was briefed on ongoing public service initiatives.

Officials informed the meeting that 1.15 million people have received medical treatment in flood-affected areas.

The meeting approved a uniform design for bus stops for electric buses throughout Punjab.

The meeting set a target to establish WASA (Water and Sanitation Agency) offices in 25 districts of Punjab by December 31.

The meeting was informed that over 5,000 previously non-functional water filtration plants have been restored and made operational.

Phase 1 of the Lahore Development Project is scheduled for completion by November 30, the meeting was informed.

In Lahore alone, 4,624 streets have been rebuilt or repaired under the city improvement plan, it was told.

The meeting also decided to take strict action against vandalism in newly constructed streets.
