Karachi and other cities of Sindh are likely to receive more rain today (Wednesday), according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department.

The Met Office said that rain is expected in Karachi, Hyderabad, Tharparkar, Umerkot, Sanghar, and surrounding areas as a weather system of low pressure moves in from India’s Gujarat region into the Arabian Sea.

On Tuesday, heavy rain accompanied by thunder lashed various parts of Karachi, breaking the spell of intense heat in the city.

The highest rainfall in Karachi was recorded around the airport area at 33mm.

Following the downpour, major roads, including I I Chundrigar Road, Sharea Faisal, and M A Jinnah Road, were flooded, causing severe traffic disruptions across the city.
