According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the missile is equipped with advanced avionics and state-of-the-art navigational aids.

Its terrain-hugging features enable it to evade enemy missile defence systems and engage targets with high precision.

The ISPR said that as part of the Army Rocket Force Command, the Fatah-4 will significantly enhance the reach, lethality, and survivability of Pakistan’s conventional missile systems.

“Today’s launch was witnessed by Chief of General Staff, Senior officers from Pakistan Armed Forces, dedicated scientists and engineers,” the statement said.

President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee Gen Sahir Shamshad Mirza, and the Services Chiefs congratulated the troops, scientists, and engineers on the successful launch.

“The successful test of Fatah-4 missile is a milestone in Pakistan’s defence system,” a statement issued by President’s Secretariat said.

It added that the indigenously developed modern missile is proof of Pakistan’s scientific self-reliance.
