In the local bullion market, the price of gold per tola increased by Rs3,178 to reach Rs406,778, while the price of 10 grams of gold also rose by Rs2,725, hitting a record level of Rs348,746.

Significant increases were also recorded in the international market, where the price of gold per ounce rose by 37 dollars to reach 3,855 dollars.

On Monday, the local market saw gold prices per tola increase by Rs5,900 to a new all-time high of Rs403,600, while 10 grams of gold rose by Rs5,058to Rs346,021.

According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association, these prices are the highest ever recorded in the country’s history.

Statistics show that since August 30, in just one month, the price of gold per tola has increased by Rs39,378, and 10 grams of gold has risen by a total of Rs33,760.

Experts say that fluctuations in the value of the US dollar, investment trends in the global market, and local inflationary pressures have increased demand for gold, resulting in record price hikes.
