During the Super Four stage, Rauf had directed the “plane down” and “0-6” gestures towards Indian spectators, referencing Pakistan’s victory when the Pakistan Air Force downed Indian aircraft.

As a result of these actions, the BCCI filed a complaint with the ACC, leading to a fine imposed on Rauf.

Social media users reacted with humor to Bumrah’s mimicry, with one suggesting that the Indian board should lodge a complaint against him. Another user quipped, “Bumrah knows that Rafale is a dangerous aircraft if used correctly,” alluding to the Pakistan Air Force.

These incidents highlight India’s tendency to deflect embarrassment rather than embrace sportsmanship.

This attitude was further evident after the final match when the Indian team declined to accept the trophy from the Chairman of the ACC and Pakistani Minister Mohsin Naqvi.

The trophy presentation was delayed for 45 minutes, and ultimately, the Indian team celebrated without the trophy, which remained with the ACC.
