According to official details, four exportable markhor permits fetched the highest amount, selling for $946,000.

Nine non-exportable markhor permits brought in $553,300, while 20 non-exportable ibex permits were auctioned for $16,042.

Additionally, six permits for the grey goral were sold for $398,500.

Special Assistant to the Chief Minister on Wildlife, Peer Masoor Khan, said this was the first time a grey goral permit was introduced in the province, significantly boosting overall revenue.

He added that the income generated will be spent on wildlife protection and the development of local communities.

The department has also launched a rewilding program aimed at restoring populations of chinkara, urial, and blackbuck in KP.
