The court directed the federal government and other respondents to submit their reports within 14 days.

The case was heard by a division bench comprising Justice Syed Arshad Ali and Justice Muhammad Faheem Wali.

Advocate Bashir Khan Wazir, counsel for the petitioner, told the court that Gandapur’s name had been placed on the PCL and that he had not been issued a diplomatic passport despite applying for one and sending a reminder letter.

Justice Arshad Ali remarked that perhaps the application had not been filed properly.

The counsel responded that the application had indeed been submitted but no passport was issued.

The judge further observed that the petitioner was not travelling abroad at present and had not attached relevant documents.

The counsel said that the chief minister was scheduled to travel abroad next month with an official delegation.

To this, Justice Arshad Ali remarked, “Who can stop you from going abroad?”

The court then adjourned proceedings until October 14 after seeking responses from all parties.
