      <title>Malaria cases in Karachi rise to 2,242 this year</title>

&lt;p&gt;According to the report, most cases have been reported from Malir, where infections have increased by almost 50 per cent. From January to 21 September, the total rose to 649 cases. Korangi reported 386 malaria cases during the same period.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Across Sindh, the total number of dengue cases this year has reached 557, including 96 new cases in September alone.&lt;/p&gt;
