The polls are scheduled to take place on October 2, 2025, according to an official ECP notification.

The by-elections will be held for the posts of chairmen and vice chairmen in several local bodies, including Union Council No 22 Injira Mehrabad and the Municipal Committee of Surab.

Polling will also be held for vacant seats in the Municipal Committee of Sherani, Union Council No. 8 of Kech, Union Councils No. 37 and 38 of Kech, and the District Council of Zhob.

To ensure a transparent and impartial election, the Election Commission has appointed assistant commissioners, additional deputy commissioners, and district education officers as Returning and Presiding Officers.

These officials have been granted magisterial powers for October 1 and 2, to take legal action in case of any violations of election laws.

The ECP emphasised that all relevant authorities and departments must ensure strict adherence to the electoral code of conduct throughout the election process.
