According to the area people, the incident happened when a man who had descended into the manhole for cleaning called for help.

In an attempt to rescue him, three workers entered the manhole, but they tragically died.

Local residents managed to rescue one person in an unconscious state, but the remaining three could not be pulled out in time.

Police confirmed that the fourth individual, who attempted the rescue, was shifted to a hospital in critical condition.

Rescue officials later recovered the bodies of the three deceased.

Police confirmed the identities of the victims as 22-year-old Vishal, 19-year-old Shaher, and 42-year-old George. The bodies were transferred to the hospital for legal formalities.
